Study Abroad in Rome
The Honors Track in Rome offers an introduction to the vibrant existence of Rome and its role in the development of Western civilizaiton. This study abroad opportunity is offered in Rome every fall semester. Students enroll in one or two Honors courses, an Italian language course, and two-to-three additional area studies courses within a liberal-arts intensive curriculum that focuses on the history and culture of Rome.

Study Abroad in Oxford
Students are placed in colleges considered among the best at Oxford University. Students can study either during the Michaelmas Term (fall semester), the Hilary Term (spring semester) or the late Trinity Term (summer), and have the option of taking a small group tutorial on C.S. Lewis, Shakespeare, or British Politics, along with two individual tutorials.

Merkel Fund
The Honors Program has two or more $500 scholarships available each semester which can be used for study abroad or other academic endeavors involving travel. These scholarships operate on a reimbursement fund basis.

Spring Break Trips
Each fall, the Honors program offers a course based upon an international capital city. Students will learn about the city's unique culture and history. This course culminates with a trip to the capital city, where students will immerse themselves in the local culture, cuisine, and customs. Recent capital cities include Jerusalem, London, and Paris. In the 2023-24 school year, the capital city will be Mexico City.
All Honors students can attend the spring break trip, whether or not they completed the course.
